The Aula, University of Oslo

Oslo, Norway

Museums are not the only place that you can appreciate the great artist of Norway : Edvard Munch.

The Aula at University of Oslo, located at University Square right next to Karl Johan street, has 11 oil paintings by Munch.

The 11 oil paintings that cover the walls of the Aula are the only decorations by Edvard Munch that can still be viewed in their original context. "The Sun", "Alma Mater" and "History" are the main pictures.

Usually, the Aula is only open to public in connection with events such as classic concerts, but in this summer this great artistic hall will be open to the public with free admission.

Date and Time: From 01 July to 29 July 10:00 to 14:00, Tuesday to Friday only
