Artek New Open

Everyone who knows Finish designs knows of Alvar Aalto. The most famous designer and architect in Finland.
Well known for his buildings which are all around Helsinki, Finland, and the world.
He is also known for this lamps and chairs which are not only comfortable to use, but on how they look. Aalto had designed these items so the masses could enjoy his works. To this day, we can use many of his glassware from Ittala, but many of his other works are not as easy to come by.
One can still purchase many of his designs still at Artek shop in the middle of Helsinki.

Now, there is a new flagship store newly opened in an even better location;
Keskuskatu 1B Helsinki.
Here you can find his armchairs, tables, sofas, and my personal favorite his lamps.
The newly opened Flagship Store will have their grand opening on the 14 April 2016 which will have a late opening. If you are in Helsinki at that time, you can walk over to the new store and taste what real Finish design really is.
