Every year at the end of June, the Extreme Sports Week is held in Voss. As some of you may know, Voss is also known for being the station connecting the Bergen railway to the bus to Gudvangen, where the fjord cruise to Flam starts.
This year the week is from Sunday 23rd to Sunday 30th, and will showcase all manner of extreme sports such as hanggliding, basejumping and kayaking. In the evening, concerts will be held in a large outdoor tent set up in central Voss. Among the artists booked for this year is Valkyrien Allstars, a trio who plays the Norwegian intrument Harding fiddle.
Tickets to Voss Extreme Sports Week are sold as daypass for Thursday, Friday or Saturday, or an all-inclusive festival pass. Included is free shuttle bus to the various arenas around Voss, and entry to the concert locations. Access is easy from both Bergen and Oslo by railway, and Fleischer’s Hotel is walking distance from both the bus stop and the tent.
